Both Canada Men’s and USMNT have made unimaginable progress in the last decade (even with a few hiccups along the way!), but we still lack the quality and technique as our European neighbours. To bridge that gap, our players are moving to Europe at an even younger age.
The likes of Christian Pulisic at Chelsea, Alphonso Davies at Bayern Munich, and lately Josh Sargent at Bremen, have shown that our youngsters can flourish at the very top level, and there are dozens more playing professionally at a lower level.

Sadly not all of us have the luxury of being able to move abroad to support our child’s soccer ambitions, but what we can do is provide them the platform to take their playing ability to the next level. And there is no better solution than to take our players abroad to play against both professional and local teams.
Whereas some of our top players will undoubtedly gain the eye of scouts, perhaps the greatest progress can be found in middle-tier players.
They benefit from being exposed to playing against some of the top young players in the world, and they gain new found confidence on the field. They witness firsthand the level of detail and application needed to make it at the top.
If they take the same level of approach upon returning home, their increase in quality on the field is immeasurable, as well as gaining better leadership skills, decision making, as well as technical ability.
